There was quite a lot of research to do before launching ‘Cachalette’ in order to decide where we were going to keep her.

We joined the local sailing club at Carsington Water where she could be kept ashore on her trailer. Having purchased a trailer and had a towbar fitted to the Bongo we invited friends and family to help with the hardest part – getting her out of the garden!

After all the hard work and planning, she was hauled up out of the garden onto the road above the house, brought down the road to wait overnight on Alan, our neighbour’s drive before being driven down to Carsington Water behind the Bongo.

Friends and family joined us for a successful launch on 6 June, 2010 at Carsington Sailing Club, Derbyshire.
